Originally, Harry served the Rio Grande Valley of Texas with one solvent – Mineral Spirits. Shortly thereafter, he expanded the Company’s product line to supply needed solvents into the agricultural and growing industrial markets of the area. As industrial manufacturing developed along the border during the 1960’s, Valley Solvent Company added a complete line of industrial chemicals and services to serve its customer’s needs.

Service with integrity – it worked for Harry, and it works for us today. Valley Solvents & Chemicals is still owned and operated by the second and third family generations. Maintaining the legacy, we now operate from five facilities serving Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Mexico.

Harry Davis passed away in 1972, but he would be proud of our progress. Mostly, he would be proud of the many dedicated employees who have carried on his mission of building Valley Solvents & Chemicals into one of the most respected, successful, and service oriented wholesale chemical distributors in Texas.
